Zakopane is a resort town in southern Poland, at the base of the Tatras Mountains National Park. It’s a popular departure point for winter sports and summertime mountain climbing and hiking. The town is located in a valley between the Tatra Mountains and Gubałówka Hill. It is located on 750-1126 m.a.s.l., which makes it the highest situated town in Poland. The currency of Poland is the Polish zloty.
